   Working at Project Alba is first of all working in a startup. If you are not used to it, that means a very friendly and challenging environment with a lot of opportunities and fast changing topics of work. We are also multicultural and you should be prepared at least mentally for all the challenges it poses.

 It's a lot of different environment. Production, Development, Sales do not work at all in the same way so it's important that you check how we describe the different jobs to know if it suits you. And most of all, it's a really great endeavor extremely involving emotionally.

Agronomy developer :
  • The position’s challenges would be (1) to diagnose and find solutions for tropical agronomy problems faced by our farmers (2) design improvements possible of their techniques (3) share your knowledge with the founders. You’ll work closely with our local staff to conduct experiments and train farmers with new techniques.

  • Required is a strong background in agronomy questions close to crop and soil science. Also required are three years of experience on the field and a great openness to work with new cultures and new tools, especially IT.

Jobs
  • Whatever you background, know that we live with data. Quantitative skills will be important if you want to join us. Be at ease with numbers, statistical concepts ( standard devs, distributions, ... ), measures, logic concepts. 
  • The work can change everyday. If going one day to market and build a sales strategy and learning chemistry to understand soil tests the second is fun for you, welcome .

Interns
  • We are often willing to welcome interns, especially for the following matter : agronomy, IT,  process building. Same as job, you'll need strong quantitative and analytical skills and be ready to explore very different fields.
